WGFriends is all about social networking (and games)
That being said, we've decided to offer rewards in the form of points to the users that take
advantage of the more social features of the site.
What kind of rewards are we talkin'?
Lots of kinds! Eventually. Some of the rewards that will be available now and in the future include:
- Silver and Gold Membership:
After reaching certain point totals, your membership will be upgraded to silver
and, in turn, gold levels. You'll be able to customize your profile much more than
basic members will be allowed to.
- WGFriends Merchandise
Definitely a "coming-soon" kind of thing, you'll be able to spend points on
t-shirts, mouse pads, and other gear branded WGF style (at much lower than the
normal cost).
- Announcement Posts
Probably more useful for the game or group owner, you'll be able to spend points
to post announcements on the front page of WGFriends in a highly prominent location.
- Sweet Bragging Rights
There'll be a ranking page to show who has the most total points awarded. Brag on!
- Lots more! Promise!
We'll be constantly adding things for you to do with your points.
How do I get points?
There are a number of ways to earn points. Just using the site will get them for you. Specifically, here are a few good ways to
earn WGFriends Points.
- Posting Reviews, Blog Entries, and Forum Entries
You'll earn a few points for making these kinds of posts. If your discussion happens to really
add something to the WGFriends atmosphere, the admin may reward a few extra (but don't ASK for points...).
- Referrals
When your friends sign up and name you as the referrer, you'll pick up a hefty chunk
of points.
- Shopping at WGFriends
If you feel we are worthy of a bit of your hard earned cash in exchange for WGFriends
merchandise, we'll thank you even more with some points. Alternatively, you'll be able
to buy them outright.
